Caraway, an independent candle brand based in Bristol, recently rebranded to modernise their look while staying true to their values. The goal was to create a fresh, contemporary identity that would appeal to modern consumers while maintaining simplicity and authenticity. This involved updating their website design, refining their social media presence, and selecting new fonts.

Moodboard

In crafting the brand's identity, I've assembled a moodboard in line with the brand keywords and the brief. From the black candle to the natural caraway plants and hand-drawn botanicals, each image tells a story. Bristol's presence roots us in our hometown's vibe. Minimalist packaging and an elegant italic font hint at the simplicity i’m aiming for.






Website Design

The updated website has a cleaner interface, focusing on the brand's products with less text clutter. Its minimalist design ensures easy navigation, enhancing usability and encouraging easy product exploration.






Typography

I've chosen Aktiv Grotesk and Input to define the visual identity. Aktiv Grotesk epitomises modernity with its clean lines, while Input and Altesse creates a more vintage tone. This pairing ensures readability and balance across various media.
